Intertextile Shanghai Accessories Exhibition gathers industry strength to empower new competitive landscape in the industry
Ms. Charmaine Sheh, General Manager of Frankfurt Exhibition (Hong Kong) Limited, said, “Intertextile Shanghai Materials and Accessories Exhibition brings together industry elites and top exhibitors from all over the world and in various fields of the market. At this critical period, industry leaders need this platform even more to achieve the goals of keeping up with emerging trends, exploring innovative
resources, consolidating partnerships, and exploring new markets. ”She continued, “This exhibition is not only the leading clothing and textile exhibition in Asia, but also one of the most important industry events in the world. Through communication with the audience, we have found that ‘exploring new markets and finding new suppliers’ has become a common consensus in the industry, and we have made every effort to promote relevant connections at this exhibition
Currently, China is actively promoting trade diversification. Despite the overall decline in exports to the United States in the first half of the year, its trade volume with ASEAN (up 13%), the European Union (up 6.9%), and Africa (up 21.4%) all achieved significant growth, exceeding the gap in exports to the United States. Many exhibitors are striving to cope with fluctuations in their main market business while actively seeking opportunities to explore new markets. This exhibition successfully built an efficient communication bridge for stakeholders. About 150 representatives from 8 international buyer delegations, including Brazil, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Türkiye and Vietnam, participated in 130 trade matching activities and 3 museum tours, and 50 VIP buyers from 14 countries participated in 350 trade matching activities.
Mr. Ricky Tan, representative of the Federation of Malaysian Fashion Textiles and Apparel buyer delegation and Director of Sri Majutex Industrial, said, “This platform has abundant and excellent resources, and the efficiency of business matching is extremely high. The Chinese clothing fabric industry leads the global trend of innovation and sustainable development, providing us with valuable reference for clearly understanding market demand and analyzing industry trends. Analysis injects new momentum into our development and transformation
New products emerge one after another at the exhibition, unleashing new vitality
This exhibition covers nine exhibition halls with a scale of 240000 square meters. In response to the market’s demand for high cost-effective daily fashion, this exhibition has launched a dual layer fabric area for job selection for the first time. This exhibition area was unveiled together with other product areas, as well as the exhibition groups of Pakistan, South Korea, Japan, Italy (Milano Unica), India, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and other countries/regions, including Türkiye, which debuted for the first time. Compared with the previous edition, the scale of the Sustainable Development Zone has significantly expanded by over 60%. Its distinct sustainable theme and open booth design complement its exclusive seminar and product zones. New exhibitor highlights include Chloris Biochem’s eco-friendly dye solutions, as well as Super Leather’s innovative fabrics and bio leather made from fruit pomace and algae.
Ms. Song Youyang, CEO of Super Pier, expressed satisfaction with the results of her first participation in this exhibition: “The Sustainable Development Zone is highly aligned with our brand positioning and helps us accurately target our target audience. It provides clear and efficient procurement guidelines for brands and manufacturers seeking bio based, biodegradable, renewable, and other innovative and environmentally friendly materials. Sustainable material innovation has become a mainstream trend in multiple industries, and this exhibition has brought us profound industry insights and strengthened our determination to promote high-quality development
In the functional fabric area and other exhibition areas, companies that participated for the first time and focused on innovation in functional fabrics include Kaisai (Hong Kong) Biomaterials, which showcased bio based fibers and polymers; Fubont launches nylon made from recycled discarded fishing nets, carpets, and other materials; Virginie showcased high-tech lingerie, sportswear, and functional clothing. At the same time, in the upgraded Innovation and Digital Solutions Zone, companies such as the Artificial Intelligence Design Research Institute (AiDLab) and Shima Seiki Manufacturing Co., Ltd. presented various AI driven solutions for textile quality inspection technology, design systems, and software.
In terms of concurrent activities, the exhibition held 37 seminars and 9 themed forums, bringing cutting-edge insights from multiple fields to the audience. Activities related to design cover many popular topics, such as how to integrate textile art with contemporary trends to create sustainable products with market competitiveness, and analyzing fashion trends for the 2026-27 autumn and winter seasons. Authoritative experts in the field of innovation have explored various industry related artificial intelligence applications such as material testing and design, as well as key issues such as how intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, and sustainable solutions will shape the future of functional fabric production. In addition, the Intertextile fashion trend area, together with display areas such as Zhishang Pin and The CUBE functional fabric area, presented over 900 fashionable, high-end, and functional samples, helping exhibitors gain widespread exposure.

At this exhibition, 3M highlighted the innovative achievements of its two core product lines: the functional insulation material New Snow Li ™ (Thinsulate ™) And functional protective agent Sigaojie ™ (Scotchgard ™)。 The reason why we have participated in Intertextile Shanghai for many consecutive years is because it has unparalleled platform value. It can not only gather and accurately connect with professional buyers and expand the network of partners, but also keenly perceive industry trends. Especially in the Chinese market, emerging outdoor brands have flourished in recent years, and the value of this platform has become increasingly prominent. ”

We are always committed to deeply integrating fashion, functionality, sustainability, and innovation. Taking our 100% spun cashmere fabric as an example, it can be considered one of the world’s top cashmere materials, with excellent wrinkle resistance. This product is widely favored in the international market, and this exhibition has also attracted a lot of potential customers’ strong interest. Although we are satisfied with the global business situation, we are still open to new opportunities. For us, it is very important to continue participating in this exhibition because we hope to deeply cultivate the Chinese market and believe that China’s consumer power will surely recover strongly

Our stage and dance costumes must balance eye-catching design with the freedom of actors’ movements, which means we need to pay special attention to fabric functionality, color matching, and accessory application. Intertextile Shanghai Accessories Exhibition gathers high-end exhibitors covering almost the entire industry chain, so we come every year to purchase functional fabrics, jacquard and embroidered textiles. The Intertextile fashion trend area showcases numerous eye-catching new innovative fabrics, and this year’s theme has shifted from classic style to dramatic style, which is also very inspiring for us. ”
Mr. Wang Zhe, Fabric Manager of WEISSMAN in the United States
Speaker’s Insight
Through exhibitions such as Intertextile Shanghai, we are able to continuously analyze buyers from different countries. The Intertextile fashion trend area is like a cultural bridge, connecting cultural references and ensuring effective transmission. It can not only inspire creativity and support fabric manufacturers, but also build deep connections for buyers. Essentially, this is a relay inheritance with humanistic value, and I believe this consensus should be deeply understood. ”
Chief Curator of Intertextile2026-27 Autumn/Winter Fashion Trends Area (NellyRodi, France) ™ Mr. Michael Bonzom, Creative Director of Agency
Intertextile Shanghai Accessories Exhibition is a highly valuable platform that not only allows us to intuitively understand the pulse of the Chinese market, but also connects us with industry colleagues in Asia and even the world. This morning alone, I had in-depth exchanges with colleagues from India, Japan, and South Korea. We are facing similar challenges and opportunities. China is our crucial strategic partner, and it is exciting to see a large number of Chinese exhibitors presenting a series of forward-looking innovative achievements, injecting strong momentum into the global textile industry to move towards a more responsible and sustainable future
